On Nov. 6, 2006, the March of Dimes hosted the annual Breakfast With a Champion event, starring featured speaker Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history. On the undercard was ... us.
We shared our story with a captive audience of about 800 people, each of whom received a copy of our business card.
Jake, Josh and Zac were on their best behavior during the speech and slide show, although the boys were a bit in awe of seeing the huge images of their baby pictures. Josh then decided to climb into Jaime’s arms during the speech. Then, as Jaime was wrapping up, Josh leaned over and whispered, “Do you know that everyone is eating breakfast now?” Great priorities for a 4-year-old!
